Who am I? What am I doing here?
Good questions title graphic! My name is Joe and what I'm doing here is actually pretty simple. My whole life I have always loved being creative. From the time I was little I would bring paper, colored pencils, and markers everywhere I went. Over the years I would spend countless hours drawing and creating.
Anything from the Etch-A-Sketch Animator to Mario Paint to my very first VHS Camcorder were all instruments for me to express my creative side. As I grew older, life of course got busier and more complicated. After bouncing through a few jobs that paid the bills and introduced me to some life long friends, but really didn't tax my creative muscles, I needed a change.

During that time I had gotten married and my wife encouraged me to pursue more creative endeavors. With that, I entered broadcasting school. After graduating I had a hard time finding work, but eventually it happened and I started getting some freelance gigs. I helped to launch the video section of a local sports magazine's website. After working for them and doing some side gigs for a local wrestling promotion, I was hired by a new local cable network that was starting up. I worked for that company for three years and loved every minute of it. I was producing, shooting, and editing. I was thrilled.
Unfortunately, after three years the network cut staff and I was laid off.

As everyone knows, life goes on, and bills don't stop. During all that time working, I was blessed with a beautiful little girl. In the years between then and now, I have unfortunately had a hard time finding consistent video work. So other jobs filled in the space. Driving a truck and working as a background actor, among other things to help pay the bills. A funny thing happened in that time as well. My daughter became an actor. She has been a working actor for a few years now. Part of her success hinges on having someone to take her to auditions, call-backs, and shoots.
My wife and I have decided to support her in her dreams and as such, I have taken a new job working overnights so I will be available to take her where she needs to go and when.

This brings me to the present. I just celebrated a milestone birthday. I am now 40. I wouldn't say that turning 40 depressed me. It has however caused me to look back at my life. Realizing that I may be halfway through my time on Earth made me accept that the reason I am not working as a comic book artist, a director, a writer, or an editor is me.
What I mean by this is that throughout my life I have always dreamed of doing these things, but have always stopped short of putting my work out there. I have always accepted that whatever I do there will always be someone better at it than me. The problem is that I never accepted that you don't have to be the best to be successful at something. Because of this I have always been scared to reveal my work. Recently I have been inspired by the success of people who are willing to take a chance on themselves and step out and create their own thing. Specifically I would like to thank the guys at The Comedy Button, Kinda Funny, Jeff Cannata, Christian Spicer, Dan Ryckert, and Robin Commisar. You have all been a part of my decision to do this.

The purpose of this site is to stop hiding. To stop keeping all the things I've created hidden away in boxes in my basement. The point of all this is to finally reveal my work to the world. It may sound funny to think that someone who had video packages featured on the web and TV has been hiding things away, but that was different. That was a job. These creations are personal. A lot of what you will see on this site are things that I created a long time ago. Comic books and art created back when I was in Junior High and High School. Along with the old creations I will also share new things I have been working on. New videos, art, music, and anything else I work on.
At 40 years old I am finally ready to put it out there. I have no idea what this will eventually lead to. I have some ideas and some plans, but who knows. What I do hope is that people visit this site and enjoy the content. If you love it or hate it that's okay. I'm just happy to finally be free to share my creative works with the world. I hope I can inspire others, both young and old to share their work that they have been hiding.
I hope you enjoy the site and I would love to have interactions with anyone who visits and checks out the content.
